 About AutoCAD Civil 3D                                                                                             

AutoCAD Civil 3D software is a civil engineering design and documentation solution that supports Building Information Modeling workflows. 

It is used for designing, drafting and documentation, analysis, defining workflows, surveying and mapping of civil projects. 

AutoDesk’s AutoCAD Civil 3D infrastructure professionals can better understand project performance, maintain more consistent data and processes, and respond faster to change. 

AutoCAD Civil 3D tools support Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes and help reduce the time it takes to design, analyze, and implement changes. 

Wasser and Bau is offering this training as part of its human capacity building in developing      Infrastructure engineers within the Nigerian Society of Engineers and support from Council for the Regulation of Engineeringin Nigeria.

 Who Should Attend

Engineers, Surveyors, Land Planners & Developers interested in highway design, land development and planning.  This is an excellent class for new engineers, graduate trainees; Old engineers who require extended knowledge of Computer Aided Design and anyone who plans on use the Civil 3D work environment should attend this class.

Learning Objectives

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

Function within the Civil 3D environment.

Import survey data and work with it.

Points, Surfaces, Parcel Labels, Horizontal alignments for sites: produce, amend and manage.

Produce a grading solution and grading quantities for sites.

Produce and amend site profiles.

Deal with transportation alignments and profiles, transportation assemblies and corridors, cross sections and quantities.

Create and manage plan sets, Civil 3D data.

Produce and manipulate site corridors and assemblies.

Produce and amend site pipe networks.

Learning Outcome

At the end of the course participants should be able to:

Design: For corridor design, pressure pipe networks, gravity pipe networks, grading, parcel design, bridge modeling, geotechnical modeling, and rail track layout.

Analysis: For advanced mapping and analysis functionality, storm water management using dynamic model, dynamic QTO and a road drive through of the various alignments using visualization.

Produce Plan & Profile Drawings: Produce the Vertical & Horizontal alignment of the road presented on a Sheet (Paper Space)

Earthwork Computation: Calculate the volume of earthwork, cut, fill, reports and tables

Produce Cross Section Drawings: Produce the Earthwork, Tables and Volumes on a Sheet (Paper Space)
